MEET THE TEAM

Wally was born and raised in rural Franklin County North Carolina.  After graduating from the Bunn High School, Wally decided to pursue his career in the agriculture Industry by attending North Carolina State University. At NC State, Wally earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Agribusiness Management, Livestock, and Poultry Management and General Agriculture. As an NCSU graduate Wally decided to go into the arboriculture industry and accepted a job at Bartlett Tree Experts in Raleigh. During his five years at Bartlett, Wally became a valued crew leader and earned his certification as an ISA Certified Arborist. While juggling his job at Bartlett Wally decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being a business owner and started a full service landscape company, Progreen Landscape Solutions, in 2010. It was soon after Wally decided to grow the company full-time and expand its services. In this time, Wally became a certified NC Landscape Contractor and NC Pesticide Applicator. As the owner of Progreen, Wally is an extremely hard worker and a true people's person. Wally loves his job! However, when he is not working, he loves to hunt, fish, and spend time with his wife and daughters, Layton and Sawyer Jo.

Thad is an extremely valued long time employee of Progreen. Thad has been with Wally since the birth of the business, joining the Progreen team in 2011. Thad is an alumni of North Carolina State University holding two degrees, ornamental horticulture and turf grass management. Thad manages the maintenance division of Progreen and his strengths include being organized, and always prepared. Thad is also a forward thinker which is of great value to Progreen. Since graduating from NCSU. Thad has earned certifications as both a NC landscape contractor and NC pesticide applicator. When he is not working Thad can most likely be found somewhere on the water, fishing or duck hunting.

Michael grew up with Wally, also loving the outdoors. After high school. Michael joined the military and was a Sergeant of the 82nd Airborne Unit of the US Army. After completing two tours in five and half years of service, Michael retired from the military to be closer to his children. Upon his return home, Michael spent another five and half years working as a carpenter before joining the Progreen family in 2015. Since joining he has been a valuable asset. Michael's strengths include problem solving skills, a hardworking nature, and a well-rounded knowledge of plants, pruning, stonework, grading and drainage. When Michael is not working he can usually be found in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, or gardening with his three boys.
